What to expect for my first anime convention?
Hi,
Me and my 2 friends are 12 and we're going up to London on Saturday for our first ever anime con. We're cosplaying, and I'm going as Hatsune Miku (Vocaloid), my friend as Rena Ryuugu (Higurashi) and my other friend as Cagalli (Gundam Seed). I just have a few questions...
1) Will we get glomped or shouted at by hyper people for our costumes?
2) Should my friends Dad come around with us, or will we be okay?
3) How much money should we bring? I spent a tonne on the costume so I can't bring too much...
4) Should we bring food and drink?
5) Should we wear our costumes on the train?
6) Will it be rowdy and packed?
7) What are the people there like, are they rude, nice etc?
WILL I HAVE FUN?
Thanks! 
1) Yes, especially if you look cute ("you're gonna get taken home!")
2) Yes... but be careful if they don't know about anime and the surrounding culture (so when they see all the re-tar-ded anime fans looking dumb, they don't rush you back home and say "no more Japanese cartoons for you... all those people are freaks). I would take some kind of adult, just to help keep you out of trouble.
3) i wouldn't bring much, as most of the stuff in vendor's/dealer's rooms can be bought elsewhere for less, unless you live out in the middle of nowhere and have no stores that carry anime/manga or don't like to pay for shipping

6) It depends on the venue and the crowd type. i would guess there would be a lot of people, but I have found most cons in the UK to be decently managed.
7) There are all types of people. You should behave yourself.
It is what you make of it. I am an older fan and go for panels.
