Can't get 99 Honda Accord out of panic mode. What to do?
Last night, my two year old grandson was in my car for a few minutes. When I got in the car and started the ignition, lights flashed and the horn was blowing. We disconnected the battery, but it didn't help. The remote battery has been dead for months. Is there anything he could have done to set it off from inside the car?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
the alarm goes off when the car is locked and then opened from the inside after the alarm has been armed without the key being put in the ignition.
You can cancel the alarm by using your ignition key to lock the car doors from the outside. Then open the car door using the ignition key to open the driver's door lock. Once the doors are unlocked, put the key into the ignition and turn the ignition key on then off. That should cancel the alarm without the remote having to be used.
